Downham Youth Centre Holds First Evening Drop-in Session

Downham Market’s new Youth Centre will hold its first drop-in evening tonight, Tuesday 26th February, from 6pm – 8pm.

Open to all local young people, the Youth Centre will be a place to have fun and socialize. It boasts a pool table, table tennis, table football and dart board as well as music and games.

Located in the old Clackclose School building (Nelson site) on Paradise Road, the Centre recently benefited from a £20,000 refurbishment. It opened its doors last week with a full programme of half term activities and going forward it is hoped that Tuesday evenings will become a regular occurrence.

There is already a Youth Centre Committee in place and it will be meeting at the Centre next Monday 4th March at 6pm. The meeting is open to all. The committee would particularly like to invite anyone interested in becoming a committee member, including parents – if this might be you, please come along to find out more!
