Pleasant Level Crossing Incident

We have received information relating to incident on Pleasant level crossing where a car was struck by the 12.56pm Kings Lynn – Kings Cross train on the line between Ten Mile Bank and Littleport at 1:15PM on the 12 July.

Members of the public have reported hearing a horrendous bang at the time of impact, with some saying that the car was pushed around 500 yds down the track. The male motorist was pronounced dead at the scene, however there are currently no reports on any other casualties.

Train services remain interrupted and passengers are advised to check with the Rail Service before attempting to travel on the line.
