Having updated the website today and with remembrance day upon us, I felt it would be a wise idea to check around town for any upcoming events and see what sort of things were going to be happening.
I was able to visit the Poppy Appeal (Royal British Legion) office on the town square and talk to the lead chairman who informed me of the various things happening (which I should not forget to mention are all on the Downhamweb calender presently).

This Sunday (November 13th 2011) a Remembrance Parade and Salute will also be happening in Town Hall Car Park in addition to today s event.
Downhamweb urges you to come along if possible and remember those who are lost, but never forgotten.
