news from downhamweb’s Laura

Hi Guys!!!! Hope everyone is well and all ready for Christmas, can you believe it’s less than 4 weeks away?! I have been a busy busy bee.

This year has gone incredibly quickly, memories from Downham Market Town Festival, Lifestyles, The Water Festival, a Zumba Fitness demonstration and lots of food and sweets!! Now winter has drawn in and the leaves are flying everywhere.

The Downham Town Christmas have been switched on and Christmas isn’t far away. Finishing University (finally YEY), becoming a Zumba Fitness Instructor, working with downhamweb and looking for a job.

It’s been a whirlwind but an enjoyable one, firstly finishing University and having my graduation which was lovely, such a fun day with my little group of buddies (I felt like Harry Potter in my cloak). Then becoming a Zumba Fitness instructor has been amazing, something I absolutely love doing and sharing the fun with other people is amazing such a good, fun workout for EVERYONE! I’ve now started teaching my own classes, which, strange as it sounds is my “chill out” time at the end of the day, it’s great meeting new people, having what feels like a party every class.

The Lifestyles Festival in June was so much fun. Vicki, Liz and I (all workers from downhamweb) took the weekend off to volunteer and help out any way we could. Even though the weather wasn’t the best on the Friday we still managed to wear our feet out but had fun at the same time. ROLL ON NEXT YEAR!

Lastly working with downhamweb, I have gained a lot of experience and knowledge from working with everyone in the office and have met some amazing people there. From web development, article/journal writing to data entry all that I have learnt I can now take with me, so a BIG THANK YOU to everyone at downhamweb for all your help.

Well I bid you all farewell…… til next time! Be sure if you have any enquiries regarding Zumba Fitness or what it’s like to volunteer with downhamweb to email me.
