The annual Downham Market High School Year 11 leavers Prom was held on Friday 6th July, with many of the senior pupils arriving in unique fashion. Several horse and carriages were spotted around Downham Market, as well as a tank, limousines and classic cars of all shapes and sizes, all heading towards the venue. The bizarre choices of transport, as always, caught the attention of the public and other students alike. The event was ended with a late night firework display, which was arranged at the last minute and kept as a surprise for the students.
The Prom is held to mark the end of the Year 11 students education at the school, and usually includes live music, specially prepared food, and a dance floor set up in the school s assembly hall.
