The Big Christmas Lights Switch On
A vote of thanks to the Downham Market Chamber of Trade
Over the past few weeks the Christmas Lights have been put up in place by a group of dedicated Chamber of Trade members and townspeople. Without the Chamber s hard work, support and funding there would be no Christmas lights in Downham. The team at downhamweb would like to offer a sincere vote of thanks to all those who have given up their weekends to put the decorations in place. Thanks also go to the Town Council and Downham Market Lions Club for their work organising the Switch On celebrations. It s worth mentioning that although Downham receives funding from both the Town and Borough Councils this does not cover all costs associated with the lights. There will be collection buckets at the square on the 25th – if you value your Christmas Lights, and don’t want to lose them in the future, please dig deep.
Food and Craft Stalls
It is not too late to book a pitch for food and craft stalls at the Christmas Lights Switch On celebrations. If you are interested please contact Maureen at The Sew Inn on 01366 387147 *Note that the Christmas Lights Craft Fair is also running on Saturday 24th November from 10am – 6pm
