St George s Day is celebrated by the several nations, kingdoms, countries, and cities. And one town in particular played host to an eventful celebration.
Downham Market had a joyous activity filled day. Some of the features included, Morris Dancing, Face Painting, Merry-go-Round, Climbing Wall and of course Live Dragon Slaying . The highlight of the day was the act of St. George thwarting the dragons retreat by the somewhat unorthodox technique of Tail Pinning .
Unlike the other ‘local’ papers which are owned by big businesses, downhamweb has always been owned and run by local people in Downham Market. Our reporting will always be free without paywalls, independent from advertisers and run for the benefit of the community.
