The Rotary Club of Downham Market’s next event is the Hilgay Raft Race day on Sunday 13th July, where things kick off from noon onwards at the Riverside Meadow next to the bridge in Hilgay. This year they are raising funds for the Stroke Association. They would love to break their record again – last year raising over £5,000.
For the more adventurous, why not take part in the races? The entry fee is £40 for crews of four. It’s enormous fun and if you won’t have a raft suitable The Rotary Club have some ready-made for you to use.
