Framin’Art Workshops

At the heART of Downham Market is … Framin’Art. Did you know that, at the rear of this town centre art shop, there is a light and airy classroom which regularly pumps the creative blood of our local people? Located at 15 High Street, the venue offers a range of courses and one off workshops. On Monday and Tuesday mornings Sheila O’Brien teaches watercolours. At the time of writing, there are a couple of places left in the Tuesday morning class. On Wednesday mornings there is a regular acrylic class with Elizabeth Fitzgerald-Carter who also teaches the Wednesday evening drawing course. Becka Elliott has been running an after school art class for children aged 6-11 since September. A second class is now being offered on a Tuesday at 4.00pm.

In the near future there are also have places available on a number of workshops and short courses including:

1st, 8th and 15th May – Silk Painting – 3 mornings with Julie Spriggs.

10th May – Mosaic Making – one morning with Becka Elliott

17th May – Rag Rugging – one morning with Sue Welfare

So … whatever your age, experience or level of ability there will be something to suit you. Further information can be obtained directly from the shop, by phoning 01366 382002 or by looking at Framin’Art on Facebook.
