With under a week to go until the Downham Market Festival kicks off, with all the Jubilee and Olympic activity, we re getting excited and geared up here at dweb HQ. We re hoping the webcam will be stable so that those who can t be here can watch the parade as it passes through town on Monday 4th June from 2pm.
Unlike the other ‘local’ papers which are owned by big businesses, downhamweb has always been owned and run by local people in Downham Market. Our reporting will always be free without paywalls, independent from advertisers and run for the benefit of the community.
