Downham’s EDP reporter heading to Africa

DownhamWeb would like to wish the EDP s Downham reporter David Blackmore the best of luck as he gets ready to board a flight today destined for Namibia to take part in an international project which will see a primary school revamped. David has raised more than £4,300 to take part in Project Namibia, which is being led by bowel cancer research charity the Bobby Moore Fund. Part of his fundraising drive saw him ride the equivalent of King s Lynn to Calais on a static exercise bike. To read the story of this event, see a picture gallery and watch a video on the EDP website, click here or here. To read all about Project Namibia and how you can sponsor David click here. David will resume his weekly “meet your reporter” sessions in Downham Market on June 27. You will be able to find David in the little office next to the Town Hall between 9am and 12pm. Alternatively you can contact him on 01553 777 624 or by e-mail [email protected]
