This year the Norfolk Sports Awards will be taking place at an evening reception on 7th November. And among the excited finalists attending the event there will be representatives from Downham Market and Clackclose Primary School. In the Sporting School of the Year award category, Clackclose Primary is one of three finalists, competing against Alderman Peel and Clare School. While, in the Sporting Village of the Year, Downham Market is a finalist along with Hickling and Terrington St Clement. The winners will be announced at Active Norfolk s sixth annual Norfolk Sports Awards, where the cream of sporting achievement and service in 2012 will be honoured. Laurie Hull, Director of Active Norfolk said: “What a year it has been – amazing venues, fantastic sporting endeavour and outstanding results from Team GB and Paralympic GB. Now it’s our chance to acknowledge the best in Norfolk at our grandest Sports Awards yet, in the presence of some of the nation s finest”.
