The community portal site for Downham Market
I first met the Dollies at the Annual Downham Market Community Fair. I was handing out downhamweb cards and looking for local groups to add to the site.
Ryston Runners meet at the Downham Federations Club every Thursday from 7pm. Track and field, road running and cross country are among the events catered for.
The Dollies is a running club for women of all different ages. They first formed in 2008, after a beginners running course prepared by the Borough Council.
1557 runners turned out on Sunday 5th May to run 10 kilometres through King’s Lynn Town Centre and the Walks.
A beautiful sunny Sunday saw hundreds of people turn out to witness the race and show their support.
4th – 11th of May 2013 is Britain’s biggest ever short walks festival, Get Walking Week!
The “Fit Together” programme invites people of West Norfolk to participate in a series of free led walks around the area ranging in distances from 1 to 8.5 miles long.
The Clackclose School Cross Country team has gone from strength to strength this year having won the schools cluster cross country event in January they have gone on to come 2nd in the Ryston Runners Grand Prix schools competition.
The annual Bespak Grand East Anglia Run is upon us once again!
Sunday 5th May 2013 is the day that around 1700 runners are expected to take part in the main event, with a further 550 entries for the Mini-GEAR Fun Run.
