The St Winnolds Fair took place in Downham on Friday 20th March and is an annual event for the town.
The parade, led by a shire horse & cart, civic dignitaries, town criers and mace bearers, left the town council offices in Paradise Road at 9am and marched across The Hollies – which was lined with local school children waving their home-made horseshoes.
The procession then proceeded up Bridge Street to the town hall steps for a short blessing.
At 9.30am the Town Mayor's invited civic guests, many of whom had travelled from far and wide to participate in and enjoy this respected event, they then all joined the Mayor in the town hall for breakfast.
That evening the Mayor also hosted an Olde English Supper with live entertainment in the town hall, everyone was welcome.
